Food Pantry

Operating in partnership with the Chester County Food Bank, and funded in part by the United Way of Southern Chester County and private foundations, NSC coordinates an emergency food pantry for southern Chester County residents. Canned goods and non-perishable items are donated by individuals, churches and community groups. Diapers, personal care items, household cleaning supplies and paper products are also available.

If you would like to donate supplies to the Food Pantry, please consider the current list of needed items:

Information and Referral

NSC's Information and Referral Program assists individuals in accessing the many health and human services available to them. NSC case managers provide the following services:

  • Assessment of an individual's problems which enables NSC to determine services needed;

  • Case managers provide relevant information on and referral to community resources;

  • Case managers follow-up on all referrals to confirm that services were received.

Basic Needs Assistance

NSC provides monetary assistance to pre-screened, income eligible individuals who need assistance meeting their basic needs of housing, utilities and health care. NSC makes direct payments to vendors on behalf of eligible clients. Funds for this program come from the United Way of Southern Chester County, private foundations and individual donations.
